Gurugram:- To conserve nature and keep the environment green, clean, and beautiful, 1000 saplings will be planted on 5 May 2023 in Dhanwapur village, Sector 104 Gurugram, Haryana, under the tree plantation campaign being run by Ashok Singhal Foundation and M2K Foundation. A campaign was launched in which about 300 helpless and poor children adopted in Sanskarshala, a literacy mission being run under Ashok Singhal Foundation and M2K Foundation, did meaningful work of planting saplings.
Last year also, hundreds of saplings were planted in Sector 56, Gurugram, Haryana, under this campaign of tree plantations; the organization will also be responsible for taking care of the saplings. This time, plants of sufficient length have been taken to take root quickly in this scorching heat. The organization's manager Sanjay Kaul said that the foundation will continue to run such tree plantation campaigns occasionally to present a positive idea to society.
Children were made to participate in this campaign so that love for nature and a sense of responsibility towards the environment can be taught to them to contribute to environmental protection in the future. The way the environment is getting destroyed due to the continuous interference of man, we should together pledge to keep our earth green and clean because it is impossible to imagine the human race without the environment. Additionally, M2K Foundation and Ashok Singhal Foundation are continuously working in social, religious, and education; they aim to cooperate with every needy and low-income family so that they, too, join the mainstream and make their future. Play your part by playing an important role in the country.
To commemorate late Shri Ashok Singhal, the Ashok Singhal Foundation is hosting the 6th edition of 'Bharatatma Ashok Singhal Vedic Puruskar' on Monday, 15th October. The award event will be held at Chinmaya Mission 89- Lodhi Estate, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. Shri Piyush Goyal, Union Minister, Commerce and Industry of India, will be the Chief Guest in the holy presence of Parampujya Swami Govinddev Giriji. The primary goal of this award is to recognize excellence in the Vedic field and relevant genres. It is the most prestigious award in the Vedic field, given in four categories: Uttam Veda Vidyarthi, Adarsh Vedadhyapak, Uttam Veda Vidyalaya and Vedarpit Jeevan Puraskar, which provide three, five and seven lakh rupees, respectively. Sanjaya Singhal, co-trustee of the foundation, said, "It is due to late Ashok Singhal's deep interest in the Vedic scriptures that has encouraged our foundation to start this award ceremony. This is the 6th year of Bharatratma Ashok Singhal Ved Awards."
The memory of the late Ashok Singhal ji, who played a leading role in the Shri Ram Mandir movement in Ayodhya and was the International President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, will now remain in Lucknow. Burlington Square, included in the old squares of the city, will now be named after Ashok Singhal.
On the 96th birth anniversary of the Late Singhal, the intersection has been named after him. The executive committee of the Municipal Corporation, headed by Mayor Samyukta Bhatia, had named the intersection after Ashok Singhal.
On Monday, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, former minister and MLA Ashutosh Tandon, and the mayor named Ashok Singhal ji by putting a plaque at an event. On this occasion, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas, General Secretary of Murti area Champat Rai, was also present. The mayor pointed out that Burlington Square has long been considered a symbol of slavery in the English era. Many organizations have been demanding to remove this name from the past.
Ashok Singhal, the international president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, had an old association with this intersection. Purushottam Bhargava, who was associated with VHP, had to come and go to his house and used to stay at Bhargava's residence only. He was a close friend of the late Bhargava Ji. That's why the name of Burlington Crossroads, symbolizing the slavery of British rule, was changed to Ashok Singhal Crossroads.
There has been a major change in the new delimitation and nomenclature of the wards of the Municipal Corporation. The wards here have also been named after personalities like former VHP president Ashok Singhal ji and former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh ji, who were among the heroes of the Ram Mandir movement. Apart from this, a ward has also been made in the name of Mahant Abhiramdas ji, who was one of the founders of the temple movement.
The important thing is that the Nawab period names and terminology used in naming wards have been removed here. The district administration has re-delimited the municipal corporation and sent it to the government, which has 60 wards. Bahubegum Ward will now be known by the former Chief Minister of the state, Kalyan Singh. There is already a ward in the name of Mahant Ramchandra Paramhans ji, the spearhead of the temple movement. Under the change, the name of Delhi Darwaza ward has been changed to Vikramaditya Nagar.
The changed name of Fatehganj Ward is Jai Prakash Narayan Ward. Sahebganj ward, Acharya Narendradev, and Hyderganj ward have been abolished and made Nanakpura. Haiderganj ward will now be known as Nanakpura. According to sources, like Ayodhya, the government is considering changing the wards' names in many other state districts.
Ghatiya Azam Khan Road of Agra city will now be known as Ashok Singhal Marg. Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) leaders formally renamed the Azam Khan Marg on Sunday.
It was done in the name of Ashok Singhal ji. On this occasion, the city's mayor, Naveen Jain, broke the coconut and inaugurated the plaque. Of Agra arrived as the chief guest at the ceremony.
The mayor said this is part of a process to change the names of places reminiscent of slavery. This will continue even further.
Naveen Jain said that VHP leader Ashok Singhal was born in a house on this road. Ghatiya Azam Khan Road has been renamed to honor Ashok Singhal ji.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarkaryavah Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi said on Saturday that many "invaders" came into the country and left their marks, seeing which one feels "pain" and in such a situation, the construction of the Ram temple is the symbol of "national pride". Joshi said, "The construction of Lord Shri Ram's temple in Ayodhya is not just a centre of faith or establishment of another temple, but a matter related to the country's identity and human welfare."
Joshi was addressing a program organized by the Ashok Singhal Foundation on the construction of a grand temple at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi. He said, "Many invaders came to the country, and they left their marks. It hurts to see those signs. It is felt that this country will always fight against the invaders.
The Sarkaryavah of the Sangh said, "The construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya is not just the establishment of a temple. There are thousands of temples of Lord Rama in the country. One more temple should be built in the series of these temples; this is not the only feeling of the Ayodhya movement.'' He said there is a need to look differently in the context of this temple and feel the life of Lord Rama, who is the role model. The senior RSS leader said that constructing Lord Shri Ram's temple is the beginning of a new change.
Amid preparations for the construction of a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya, Suresh Bhaiya Ji Joshi, Sarkaryavah of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, said that the construction of the temple is the beginning of the movement, not the end. This is the beginning of a new era in India. It is also not appropriate to consider it merely as a temple. It is a symbol of national pride. Breaking the shackles of hundreds of years of slavery, the mentality will infuse energy in crores of Hindus and become a center of inspiration for ideals.
Interacted with Many Devotees of Ram through Webinar
He was interacting with hundreds of Ram devotees in a webinar the Ashok Singhal Foundation organized. He said that the whole world will see a new India from here. We are not expansionist-minded people. We are the people who talk about world brotherhood and human welfare. But this cannot be done by a weak, but by a powerful and responsible India. The one who will give thoughts of peace to the whole world while fighting with the demonic forces.
Symbol of National Identity
He said that whatever invaders came, they left their mark. Seeing the streets named after the invaders, the memorials built by them, and their statues, one feels pain about whether the situation will remain the same. Will continue to be defeated while fighting with the invaders. Even the structure standing in Ayodhya was reminded that you are defeated. The removal of the structure and the construction of the Ram temple at that place is a symbol of national identity from the national perspective. It will continue to provide energy to hundreds of generations to come.
Ram Kept Dignity in Pride.
This one phase was completed under the leadership of Late Ashok Singhal. This is the beginning. By giving birth in human form, Ram kept dignity in every relationship and governance. He presented ideas from his life. In true form, this temple will serve as a center to inspire ideals. On this occasion, he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that under the present leadership, the country had played an effective role on the international stage, and its people are confident about it.
Ashok Singhal resolved that the knowledge of Vedas should reach the general public, and all the misconceptions spread about Vedas during the British period should be removed.
Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, said that the daily life of all the people of India is related to the Vedas. The meaning of Veda is to know. What we call science is to know things outside; Vedas have science and knowledge which is not understood. The knowledge of the Vedas searches within itself. Vedas uplift the society, society uplifts religion, and the root of religion is Vedas. Spirituality cannot be opposed to science because spirituality has more experience than science. We already have the idea of both spirituality and science. Both these things are there in the Vedas. Therefore, the importance of the Vedas is more. The idea of creation related to three gunas is in the Vedas. Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, who was invited as the host on the third day of the six-day Chaturveda Swahakar Mahayagya program organized by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Ashok Singhal Foundation at Laxmi Narayan Mandir (Birla Mandir) in New Delhi, expressed these views.
Sarsanghchalak said that to handle the physical knowledge that today's world has, internal knowledge is needed, in the absence of which wars are taking place, in the absence of which there is destruction and damage to the environment. We will have to revive this complete knowledge of Vedas with our hard work. Re-acceptance of the Vedas is not a question of the life of the Hindus but of the whole of humanity; it is not limited to worship rituals. Re-acceptance of Vedas will benefit the whole world; we all have to dedicate ourselves.
Mr. Mahesh Bhagchandka, head of the Ashok Singhal Foundation and the organizer of the Mahayagya, said on the occasion that the last wish of Honorable Ashok Singhal ji was that the Vedas should be taken to every household. People should listen to Vedas for world peace. To make the young generation aware of the Vedas, a world-class ceremony of all four Vedas should be performed in Delhi. This plan was made in 2015 while he was alive, but his body became calm four days ago. This program was postponed. Now after four festivals, we are doing this program. In this, the four Vedas are being recited with 60 Acharyas from South India under the supervision of Ramanujacharya Chinjaya Swami ji. In the earlier session, a member of the Management Committee of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Dinesh Chandra, said that here, reciting each mantra of all the four Vedas of different kinds, every mantra was offered in Yajna Kund. That's why it is called Chaturveda Swahakar Mahayagya. On October 14, the complete sacrifice of Mahapurna Yagya was performed. On the other hand, Tridandi Swami Ramanujacharya told about the Vedas that the Veda sages had interviewed God, that is, had self-experience, they narrated the context of those experiences, and many of those experiences getting the experience of that time by memorizing the Vedas. For the first time, such a Mahayagya is being organized in Delhi to clear the misconceptions about the Vedas. It is also historical from the point of view of social harmony, in which various social leaders, religious leaders, and political leaders living from slums to palaces have been invited; they all participated. Dinesh Ji said that Swami Vivekananda considered Vedas to be the art of understanding society as a mirror, and he said that if 'our culture survives today, then only our future and future generations will survive'.
Veda-loving devotees from many countries, including America, Australia, England, Norway, Thailand, and Singapore, participated in this grand event and urged the saints to perform Chaturvedi Mahayagya in their respective countries. All the foreign guests, including Prince Louis of Holland, offered prayers in Vedic attire. Chidanand Ji Maharaj, who came from Rishikesh, explaining the purpose of this Mahayagya, said that "Due to global warming, hostility is increasing in the world; There will be a balance of air, nebula, constellations and there will be harmony among the living beings.

New Delhi: Sangh Chief Mohan Rao Bhagwat also attended the Chaturveda Swahakar Mahayagya organized by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Ashok Singhal Foundation at Birla Mandir on Friday evening. In the program, Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, said that the daily life of all the people of India is related to 'Vedas'.
The meaning of Veda has to be known. What we call science is to know things outside; Vedas have science and knowledge which is not understood. The knowledge of Vedas searches within itself. Vedas elevate society, religion elevates society, and Vedas are the root of religion.
Bhagwat said, 'The saints of different sects also told how Vedas are the original religion. We have made custom a custom. This is our fault; there is no fault of the Vedas in this. Due to the knowledge of Vedas, India remained a world guru for at least 3000 years. But due to its absence, wars have taken place, and due to this absence, destruction has taken place, and the environment has been harmed. We will have to revive the knowledge of these Vedas with our hard work. Vedas have to be understood considering the life of the whole of humanity and not the Hindu religion. He will have to do Tejaswi Karan again. This work should be done not only by the Acharyas but also by the whole society.
Science and religion are both in Vedas.
Sangh chief Mohanrao Bhagwat said, 'Everything has been going on about the Vedas. Ideology is also Vedic and non-Vedic. Some believe, and some don't. Today's era is the era of science. But the meaning of Vedas is the same as it was before. Today, what we call science knows things outside. Based on this, our worldly life is going on today. But this is also there in Vedas, and what is not understood by this is also there. That is meditation. Meditation searches within itself. Science searches outside itself. There is a need to know both.
Due to the knowledge of both in the Vedas, society grows, determines society's perception, and connects and elevates society. Religion is the one that unites and uplifts society. Vedas have been called the root of religion.
Sarsanghchalak Bhagwat also told that to handle the physical knowledge that today's world has got, internal knowledge is needed, in the absence of which wars are taking place, in the absence of which there is destruction and damage to the environment. With our hard work, we will have to revive this knowledge of Vedas, which gives that knowledge completely.
Re-acceptance of Vedas is not a question of the life of Hindus but of the whole of; humanity is not a limited matter of worship rituals. Re-acceptance of Vedas will bring welfare to the whole world; we all have to dedicate ourselves.
Mr. Mahesh Bhagchandka, head of the Ashok Singhal Foundation and the Mahayagya organizer, said on the occasion, 'Ashok Singhal's last wish was that the Vedas should be taken to every household. People should listen to the Vedas for world peace.
Bhagchandka told how the young generation should know about the Vedas, and for this, the world-class Swahakar of all four Vedas should be done in Delhi. Plans were being made for this. This plan was made in 2015 when Ashok Singhal was alive, but his body became calm four days ago. This program was postponed.
Now after four festivals, we are doing this program. In this, the four Vedas are being recited with 60 Acharyas from South India under the supervision of Ramanujacharya Chinjay Swami ji. This Swahakar started on the 9th and will be completed on the morning of the 14th. People from all sections of society have been invited to this; whether they are in politics, social, or religious, all people have been invited. It has also been promoted on social media so that more and more youths participate in it. Today, one lakh people connected through social media are watching this Yagya.
Please tell that Sarkaryavah Mr. Bhayyaji Joshi will come to the Saturday morning session in this program. Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh can also participate in this program.

New Delhi: At the Chaturveda Swahakar Mahayagya organized at Birla Mandir, Sangh's chief executive, and Home Minister Amit Shah reached and received the blessings of saints. On this occasion, Sar Karyavah of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Bhaiyya Joshi said that we have come out to give the wealth of knowledge in the Vedas to the world; we have never kept the knowledge limited to ourselves. Since ancient times, we have seen that we have not gone anywhere to take anything but give. India has always been a country of knowledge sharing. The world's society, which thinks positively, bows down to this auspicious wealth of India.
He had arrived as a host on the 'fourth' day of the Chaturveda Swahakar Mahayagya organized at the Shri Lakshmi Narayan (Birla) Temple on Mandir Marg. Home Minister Amit Shah also reached and participated in the Yagya. Bhaiyya Joshi said that people say that the future belongs to India. Today, India is presenting itself in front of the world with great potential regarding its best ideas, traditions, and values. He said that the ancient tradition of contemplation is included in the Vedas. We received such wealth in the form of knowledge. We have become its heirs.
According to divine signs, the change that has started in the world, including India, is in this phase of Kalyug. We have become its witnesses. This is also fate, but we will not be silent witnesses of this change; we will be partners in whatever efforts will be made to speed up this change.
He said there is no pride in what we have by luck, but there is joy. Along with this, if this process of giving has to be continued, then the capacity of the givers should increase. Otherwise, what is there to give? Giving is not done only through speech or books. Only a society that practices the values of the best life can give something to others.
Sometimes we hear that the British once ruled the country. But a time came when Baba Ramdev went to England; the queen called him to the palace and asked him to teach us something. So Baba Ramdev said that you have ruled us. We will rule your breath. But the thoughts and behavior in this are positive. India doesn't need to defeat anyone.
We have come out to give the wealth of knowledge in the Vedas to the world; we will not flow to anyone. On this occasion, Raghavanand Maharaj, Ramranjan Das Maharaj, Swami Awadhesh Das, Saint Trilochan Das Ji Maharaj, Yogi Arpit Das, VHP Patron Dinesh Chandra, Koteshwar Ji, MP Meenakshi Lekhi, BJP leader Sudhanshu Mittal Sankalp Sanstha Director Santosh Taneja, regional organizations Minister Mukesh Khandekar, VHP State Working President Vagish, State Minister Bachan Singh and others were present.
Source : Restoring the glory of Vedas is needed for the welfare of the entire world – Dr. Mohan Bhagwat
New Delhi. RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat said that the daily lives of every person of Bharat is connected to the Vedas. One has to know and understand the Vedas. What we call science knows the outwardly things but Vedas have science in them and knowledge too along with that which is not perceived by our intellect. The knowledge of the Vedas seeks our inner self. The Vedas elevate the society, and the society is elevated by Dharma and the root of this Dharma is Vedas. Spirituality cannot be opposed to science, as spirituality encompasses experience along with science. Both science and spirituality have been contemplated upon in Bharat since the beginning. Vedas contain both these and hence they are very significant. The reflections on the creation related to the three primordial qualities are contained in the Vedas. These views were expressed by Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, who was invited by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Ashok Singhal Foundation as the executant of the Yagya on the third day of the six-day Chaturveda Swahakaar Mahayagya event organised at the Lakshmi Narayan Temple (Birla Temple) in New Delhi.
Sarsanghchalak told that knowledge of the inner self is required to balance the materialistic knowledge that we have gained in today’s world and the lack of this self-knowledge is the cause of strife across the world, and is also the reason for the destruction and loss of environment. The Vedas which will provide us with the complete knowledge of the self has to be revived with our hard work and diligence. Revival of the Vedas is not just a question for Hindus alone but that of the entire human race. It is not something which is limited to the matter of rituals or worship. Restoring the glory of Vedas will ensure the welfare of the entire world and for this to happen we all have to dedicate ourselves for the cause.
Trustee of the Ashok Singhal Foundation which has organized the Mahayagya, Mahesh Bhagchandaka said on the occasion that it was the last wish of respected Shri Ashok Singhal ji that the Vedas should reach every household in the country. He hoped that people should learn and assimilate the Vedas for world peace. In order to make the younger generation aware of the Vedas, he wished that a world class Swahakaar Mahayagya comprising all the four Vedas be organised in Delhi. Though the Mahayagaya was planned in 2015 when he was alive, he had become unresponsive four days prior. Hence, the Mahayagya had to be postponed. Now after four years, we have organised this Mahayagya in which all the four Vedas are being recited by 60 Acharyas under the guidance of Ramanujacharya Chinjaya Swamiji from Southern Bharat. This Mahayagya started on the 9th of October and will end on the 14th morning with ‘Poornahuti’. Each and every person from all sections of the society irrespective of they being in political, social or religious sectors, have been invited in person. The event has also been promoted on social media so that more and more youth take part in this Mahayagya. One lakh people who are connected with us through social media are watching this yagya today.
All the saints are arriving and people from across the globe are also joining here. All the guests who will witness this Mahayagya will then go to their respective places and organize a similar event there.
During the earlier session, Shri Dinesh Chandra, member of VHP Governing Council, informed that there are separate Yagya Kundas for each Veda and over the last three days Veda mantras from each of the four Vedas are being chanted in a perfect way and after each mantra is recited, the offering is made to the Yagya Kunda dedicated to that particular Veda. It is due to this the event is called the ‘Chaturveda Swahakaar Mahayagya’, he said. This is the third day of this Mahayagya and on the 14th of October, between half past eleven and twelve, there will be a ‘Poornahuti’ of the Mahayajya. It was indeed special that today Tridandi Swami Ramanujacharya ji spoke about the Vedas and narrated as to how our Rishis experienced the almighty and attained self-realization. Swamiji also recounted the experiences of those who attained self-realization and said that there are many even today who are learning and memorizing the Vedas and have undergone the same experience as those Rishis who attained self-realization then, he said. He informed that Pujya Ashok Singhal ji had resolved that the Vedas should come back into our society and the knowledge of Vedas should reach the common man and all misconceptions spread about Vedas during the era of Colonial rule have to be removed.
In the evening session, Pujya Sant Rupendranath from Haridwar and Sudhanshu Ji Maharaj from Delhi took part in the Mahayagya. Dr. Subramanian Swamy, VHP Working President Alok Kumar were present as the executants of the Yagya on the occasion.

Ever since the BJP rose to power at the Centre, curiosity and interest about the functioning and views of its ideological fountainhead has increased tremendously and all eyes are now on Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat?s Vijayadashmi address in Nagpur on Tuesday. While essence of his speeches, as swayamsevaks insist, is ?essentially social?, its underlying political nuances are hard to miss.
Over the past years, Bhagwat has been making concerted efforts to ?dispel misconceptions? and clear the air about the image of what is otherwise perceived as a hardcore right-wing orgnisatation. It remains to be seen what new insights the Sangh supremo offers in the presence of Shiv Nadar, founder and chairman of HCL and Shiv Nadar Foundation, the chief guest for the day.
The guests at the RSS events are also becoming the cause of much debate. Former President Pranab Mukherjee created a sensation when he accepted the Sangh?s invitation last year. His calling the RSS founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar ?a great son of Mother India? also received much criticism from within the Congress. The RSS? image as a closed organisation has made its functionaries to launch concerted efforts to dispel through dialogue and by inviting guests.

It was also told that Vedas benefit human beings and all living beings in the universe. To make the name of the Vedas, the philosophy of the Vedas, and its knowledge-science accessible to the whole world, a beginning is being made from the capital Delhi.

New Delhi, Monday October 07, 2019 – Late Sri Ashokji Singhal very much loved this statement of Rishi Aurobindo: “Religious movements and revolutions have come and gone or left their mark, but after all and through all, the Veda remains to us our Rock of the Ages, our eternal foundation....”.
In order to make the knowledge and science of the Vedas accessible to the masses, the Chaturved Swahakaar Maha Yagna is being organized in teamwork with Shri Ashok Singhal Foundation and Jhandewalan Devi Temple under the auspices of Vishva Hindu Parishad.
In a press conference organized in this regard, VHP Governing Council Member Sri Dinesh Chandra, VHP Working President Sri Alok Kumar, and Trustee of Ashok Singhal Foundation Sri Mahesh Bhagchandka told that Saketvasi/Late Sri Ashok Singhalji had had a vision and mission to spread the holistic, altruistic and syncretic worldview of the Vedas, its spirituality, knowledge and science in Bharat and abroad, and from that perspective, this six-day event going to be held in the Lakshmi-Narayan Temple (Birla Mandir) in New Delhi would be very important. During these six days, Aahutis (oblations, sacrifices; veneration, adorations), accompanied by the chanting of the extant 29-thousand plus corresponding Mantras (sacred utterances or numinous sounds arousing holistic spiritual emotions and consciousness) of the Rigveda, Yajurveda, Saamaveda and the Atharvaveda, will be offered from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Yajna will be performed by more than 50 Vedic Pundits under the Brahmatva of His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji of Hyderabad. There will also be daily discourses of Venerable Swamiji. Eight Rath Yatras are also going on in the National Capital to publicize the Mahayagna.
In this Delhi event, not only will the Aahutis be offered in the Mahayagna with chaste, energetic, rhythmic and metrical chanting of each and every Vedic Mantra under the direction of the best Vedic masters and scholars from South India, but efforts will also be made to remove many misconceptions prevailing in society in the context of the Vedas, and inspire and motivate people to hold such Mahayagnas in all parts of the globe.
It was informed that many leading Sants, Mahants, key figures from social, cultural, political fields, etc., from all over the country, including H.H. Mahamandaleshwar Juna Peethadheeshwar Sri Avadheshanand Giri Maharaj, H.H. Swami Chidanand Muni Maharaj from Rishikesh, H.H. Mahamandaleshwar Swami Gurusharananand Maharaj of Karshni Ashram of Raman Reti Mathura, P.P. Sarasanghachalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, RSS Sarakaryavaha Sri Bhaiyyaji Joshi, RSS Sah-Sarkaryawah Sri Krishna Gopalji, Hon’ble Speaker of Lok Sabha Shri Om Birla, Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and Hon’ble Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh, will participate in the programme.
VHP Governing Council Member Sri Dinesh Chandra, VHP Working President Sri Alok Kumar, and Trustee of Ashok Singhal Foundation Sri Mahesh Bhagchandka addressed the press conference.
It may be mentioned here that the Late VHP President Sri Ashokji Singhal, in the year 2015, had completed extensive preparations for conducting this Chaturveda Swahakaar Maha Yagya at Birla Mandir in Delhi itself, but a few days before his health had suddenly deteriorated, and so the program had to be deferred.
It was also told that the Vedas are beneficial for humanity, the animal kingdom, the plant kingdom, environmental and ecological balance and sustainable model of development. A beginning is being made from the capital Delhi in order that the Vedas, their philosophy, knowledge & science are accessible to the whole world. Late Sri Ashokji Singhal had taken it as a mission so that the spirituality, scientific temper, gregariousness, sociability, companionability, pragmatism and knowledge of every creation contained in the Vedas could be made to reach the common masses of the country and abroad and also many misconceptions that arose in time about the Vedas that such and such persons or communities did not have the right to listen to the Vedas, could be stamped out, and the Chaturveda Swahakar Mahayagna is an effort to fulfil that mission. In fact, there is no discrimination in the Vedas, they are for everyone. Whether one is a man or a woman, the Vedas are for all human beings on Mother Earth.
Partakers from all over India and abroad should remain present here at the time of the Mahayagna for two hours in the morning and two hours in the evening, have a firsthand view of the proceedings, understand the format, appreciate and internalize the spirit and then return to their respective places and initiate holding of such Yagnas there with the aid and advice of the Acharyas of the South, who are available today, who have memorized and gotten by heart all the Mantras of the four Vedas and are proficient in their uncorrupted recitation. This event is being organized with such feelings in heart. For this reason, this Yagna has been named as Chaturveda Swahakaar Maha Yagna.
It was a far-reaching thinking of late Shri Ashokji Singhal and this event is being organized in Delhi to fulfill it. May you come from across the country and abroad, take inspiration from this event, take the help of competent masters and work towards spreading this Vedic knowledge in human society. The knowledge, science and spirituality that are in the Vedas could also be inculcated into the society through establishment of Vedic Universities and Chairs. People from all schools of thought, religion and spirituality have been invited from India and abroad to come with family and join the MahaYagna programmes. Letters of acceptance from four countries have also come! This type of event is being organized in Delhi for the first time ever.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad, a prominent arm of the RSS, will hold a six-day event at Birla Mandir in New Delhi to popularise Vedic teachings. The seriousness with which the VHP seeks to "popularise" Vedas is apparent from the fact that the entire top brass of RSS, including its chief Mohan Bhagwat and the who's who of the Union government, including Home Minister Amit Shah, will be in attendance at the event from 9-14 October. Not just Bhagwat, RSS Sarkaryavaha Bhaiyya Joshi, and RSS Sah-Sarkaryawah Krishna Gopal will also be attending the event. Apart from Shah, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will also visit Birla Mandir during these six days. The VHP calls it "Chaturvedi Swahakaar Maha Yagna," which they say is being organized "to make the knowledge and science of the Vedas accessible to the masses."
Along with the Shri Ashok Singhal Foundation, a body in remembrance of VHP's fiery former chief Ashok Singhal and Jhandewalan Devi Temple are together organizing the event under the umbrella of VHP. VHP Working President Alok Kumar told reporters in Delhi on Monday (7 October) that Ashok Singhal, the face of Ram Janambhoomi agitation in the 90s, had the vision to spread the "holistic, altruistic and syncretic worldview of the Vedas."
The six-day event intends to do the same. During these six days, 29,000-plus mantras of the Rigveda, Yajurveda, Saamaveda, and Atharvaveda will be chanted. More than 50 Vedic pundits will also perform yajnas. In fact, in the run-up to the event, eight 'Rath Yatras' are being planned in the capital to publicize the massive event. Top saints from across India, including Mahamandaleshwar Juna Peethadheeshwar Avadheshanand Giri, Swami Chidanand Muni from Rishikesh, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Gurusharananand Maharaj of Karshni Ashram, Mathura will also attend the religious extravaganza of the VHP. Singhal himself, in the year 2015, had completed extensive preparations for conducting this Chaturvedi Swahakaar Maha Yagna at Birla Mandir in Delhi. But his deteriorating health condition had put the event on the back burner. However, with Modi 2.0 back with an even bigger mandate of 303 seats, the VHP has launched this Vedic event with renewed vigor.

Former patron and late leader of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Ashok Singhal used to be the main actor of the movements for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. His contribution to the saffron family is still remembered with great respect. Ashok Singhal also wanted to bring different sections of Hindu society and people of all other religions on one platform. For this, he also wanted to get Chaturveda autobiographical Mahayagya and made complete preparations for it. But before this program took place, he died and his dream remained incomplete. But the Ashok Singhal Foundation, an organization named after him, will now realize his dream.
